Important Lodge Communication
As you might be aware, Governor Ron DeSantis issued an Executive Order that mandated that all bars, pubs and nightclubs must close for a period of 30 days in the interest of public safety.
As our lodge has many activities, including meals and charity that do not revolve around the sale of alcohol, it was believed that we do not fit the exact definition of a bar, and we could implement the steps to be in compliance under the same rules as a restaurant.
We are writing to let you know that after a more careful review of the most recent Executive Order, and in the interest of the health and safety of our members and our employees, Lakeland Lodge 1291 must close and stay closed until the executive order expires.
During this time, the work being done on our hall renovation and ladies restroom will continue and should be complete by the time we are allowed to re-open.
Finally, we still ask that you consider volunteering your time this Friday, March 20th, starting at 4PM as we initiate a deep cleaning and sanitation of our facilities! Just because we can’t serve alcohol doesn’t mean we can’t do something for the good of our lodge and have a little fun!
